Health

When you or someone you love is sick, there's nothing more important than getting the very best care, close to home.

That’s why we delivered the Canberra Hospital Expansion - as promised. And it's why we're building the new Northside Hospital and providing more health services at our free Walk-in Centres.

And so that Canberrans can get the care they need, when and where they need it – we're hiring more health workers and building four new health centres.

Housing

Canberrans need more homes to build, buy and rent, and we're delivering them.

The Barr Labor Government is delivering 30,000 more homes by 2030, including 5,000 additional public, community and affordable homes.

We've also made it easier to buy your first place, removing all stamp duty for first-home buyers.

Labor is delivering the housing Canberra needs now and into the future.

Education

Every Canberran deserves a great education.

We are doubling free three-year-old preschool, giving the best start to our kids and helping families save money.

 

We're delivering new and upgraded public schools for primary and secondary students and investing in trade education through financial assistance for apprentices and free TAFE. 

 

We're making record investments in public education for every Canberran, because a strong education system is central to a stronger Canberra.

As Canberra grows, Labor is delivering a modern and connected transport system.

 

We built the light rail, and now we're extending it to Woden.

 

We're delivering more rapid bus routes, more frequent local services and more electric buses, and investing even more in active travel to keep Canberra moving.

Women

For decades we've been driving change.

From making abortions free to delivering record investments into frontline domestic, family and sexual violence services.
