Health

When you or someone you love is sick, there's nothing more important than getting the very best care, close to home.

That’s why we've delivered the Canberra Hospital Expansion - as promised. And it's why we're building the new Northside Hospital and providing more health services at our free Walk-in Centres.

And so that Canberrans can get the care they need, when and where they need it – we're hiring more health workers and building four new health centres.

Housing

Canberrans want more homes to build, buy and rent.

And that’s why a re-elected Barr Labor Government will deliver 30,000 more homes by 2030 with 5,000 additional public, community and affordable homes.

We'll also make it easier to buy your first place by removing all stamp duty for first home buyers.

Labor has a plan to deliver the housing Canberra needs now and into the future.

Education

Every Canberran deserves a great education.

We are doubling free three-year-old preschool, giving the best start to our kids and helping families save money.

We are delivering new and upgraded public schools for primary and secondary students.

And we're investing in trade education, providing financial assistance to apprentices and free Tafe.

We'll keep making record investments into public education for every Canberran.

Because a strong education system is key to our plan for Canberra.

Transport

As Canberra continues to grow, Labor has a plan to deliver a modern and connected transport system. 

We built the light rail and now we're extending it to Woden. 

We are delivering more rapid bus routes, more frequent local services and more electric buses.

And we're keeping Canberra moving by investing even more in Active Travel. 

It's all part of our plan for an even better Canberra.

Women

Labor will always stand up for the rights and advancement of women.

For decades we've been driving change.

From making abortions free to delivering record investments into frontline domestic, family and sexual violence services.

But there's more work to do, and that's why we'll continue working every day to promote equality and support women – right across Canberra.
