We’ve cut stamp duty every year since 2012, and now we’ve removed it entirely for first home buyers, pensioners, eligible NDIS participants, turn-key missing middle houses, and off the plan purchases.
It’ll mean no matter your income or the value of the property, in Canberra you won’t pay a cent in stamp duty for your first home.
And when it comes to public, community and affordable homes – Labor is delivering 5,000 additional dwellings by the end of 2030.
It'll mean public and community housing increases every year so that more Canberrans have a place to call home when they need it most.
And we'll do it all while keeping the green spaces Canberrans know and love.
