Our Plan
Canberra’s a great place to live.
And we’ve got a progressive, practical and proven plan to make it even better.
From Casey to Conder, we’ve been out listening to Canberrans every day about the issues that matter. It’s why we’re hiring more health workers, building more homes and delivering cost of living relief to those Canberrans who need it most. You can read more about it here.
Together, let's keep building on the progress we’ve made.
And let's make the Canberra we all love – even better.

Health
When you or someone you love is sick, there's nothing more important than getting the very best care, close to home.
That’s why we've delivered the Canberra Hospital Expansion - as promised. And it's why we're building the new Northside Hospital and providing more health services at our free Walk-in Centres.
And so that Canberrans can get the care they need, when and where they need it – a re-elected Barr Labor Government will hire 800 more health workers too.

Cost of Living
We know many Canberrans are doing it tough right now – it’s a pressure so many are feeling across Australia.
That’s why we’re delivering real relief, right now, right across Canberra.
From energy bill rebates to free three-year-old preschool.
And it’s why we'll keep listening and working with Canberrans to deliver more relief where it's needed most.

Housing
Canberrans want more homes to build, buy and rent.
And that’s why a re-elected Barr Labor Government will deliver 30,000 more homes by 2030 with 5,000 additional public, community and affordable homes.
We'll also make it easier to buy your first place by removing all stamp duty for first home buyers.
Because every Canberran deserves a place to call home.

Education
Every Canberran deserves a great education.
Whether it's free three-year-old preschool for our littlest Canberrans.
New and upgraded public schools for primary and secondary students.
Or state-of-the-art CIT facilities for those studying a trade.
We'll keep making record investments into public education for every Canberran.

Transport
This election isn’t a contest between buses or light rail. As Canberra continues to grow, our city needs both.
And that’s what our progressive, practical and proven plan for public transport is all about.
More rapid bus routes, more frequent local services and more electric buses purchased than any other party – and we’ll extend light rail to Woden too.
Because Labor built light rail – and we’ll always back it.

Women
Labor will always stand up for the rights and advancement of women.
For decades we've been driving change towards equality.
From making abortions free to delivering record investments into frontline domestic, family and sexual violence services.
But there's more work to do, and that's why we'll continue working every day to promote equality and support women – right across Canberra.

Regions
We've been out knocking on tens of thousands of doors.
Listening to Canberrans right across our city about what they'd like to see delivered in their community. And we've brought it all together within our Regional Plans.
From better parks and playgrounds to more housing and health centres. From upgraded schools and shops to new bus services and sports facilities.
Each plan has come from the community, and each plan will deliver more investment and renewal where it's needed most.

Our Ambition for Canberra
Canberra's a great place to live.
And we've got a plan to make it even better.
From sports and arts to tourism and major events, we're working with Canberrans to make our city even more connected and dynamic.
It's all about making sure everything you love about Canberra, is available in every part of Canberra.
No matter where you live.
