__________________________

Pradeep's a father of two young children, a husband of a passionate social worker and a public servant.

After struggling for many years to save a deposit, he bought his first family home in 2017 in Ngunnawal. When his family settled in, they had no immediate extended family or friends here. It's this experience that taught Pradeep the importance of building connections, especially for his young children.

He got to work to create a community that was more connected. From organising the Ngunnawal Community Day and working to get his local playground on Burrumarra Avenue upgraded, to working with local street pantries to make sure Canberrans can access the products they need.

It was through this work with street pantries that Pradeep advocated for period products to be made free for all Canberrans, and he worked with the ACT Government to do it. When the Period Poverty Bill became law, Canberra became the first jurisdiction in the nation to make period products free.

From experience, Pradeep knows the difference that progressive and practical policies can make to the lives of every day Canberrans.

That's why he'll always listen to his community, stand up for free healthcare, and work to bring more community services to Gungahlin.

And that's why Pradeep's running as a Labor candidate for Yerrabi.
